2001 Coaches

1 Lenora Breiterman

Herndon, VA
(Kimball Union Academy)
Lenora comes to Limestone after a successful career at Kimball Union Academy in New Hampshire where she led her team as the starting goalie for two straight years. A native of Herndon, VA, she spent two years at Oakton High School before transferring. A technically sound player, Lenora will be in the hunt for a great deal of playing time this season.

2 Angie Meyer

Jr - Midfield
Hanover, MD (North County)
Last season Angie took a major step forward with her level of play earning first team All-America honors. Currently ranked fifth in career scoring for the Saints, she has recorded 43 goals and 11 assists in two years of work. This year the Saints will rely on her natural goal scoring ability as they make a run for the NCAA Tournament.

4 Rebecca Butchok

Fr - Defense
Pikesville, MD (Friends Academy)
A red-shirt freshman, Rebecca comes to "The Rock" after graduating from Friends Academy in Baltimore, MD. Playing in one of the best high school lacrosse leagues in the country during high school will help Rebecca make the adjustment to the college level.

5 Becky Buppert

Jr - Attack
Westminster, MD (South Carroll)
Last season Becky finished fourth on the team in scoring, recording 14 goals and 7 assists to total 21 points. These totals helped her move to sixth on the all-time scoring list for the Saints. A strong attacker with a powerful shot, Becky will be expected to increase her assist totals and lead a young attack during 2001.

6 Kathy Campbell

So - Attack
Centreville, MD (Queen Anne's)
Entering her second year in a Saints uniform, Kathy will add a great deal of speed to the Limestone attack this year. As a freshman she recorded 13 points on 9 goals and 4 assists. That one-year of adjustment from high school to college should prove enough for Kathy to open up her scoring in 2001.

7 Cathy Rice

So - Attack
Edgewater, MD (South River)
Returning for her second year with the Saints, Cathy will be battling for a starting position at attack for the 2001 campaign. Recording nine points on eight goals and one assist last year, she provides a threat in close with her solid crease play.

8 Pam Gateau

Fr - Attack
Annapolis, MD (St. Mary's)
Pam comes from one of the best private high school programs in Maryland and that experience will help her make the demanding jump to the college level. Her vision and excellent stick skills will help her to make an impact right away in 2001.

9 Crystal Ford

Jr - Midfield
Vero Beach, FL (Sebastian River)
One of the hardest working players on the Saints field, Crystal will provide a great deal heart for the up-coming season. Last year, she scored five goals and notched one assist, including a three-goal outing against local rival Guilford College.

10 Meghan Dennehy

So - Midfield
Gambrills, MD
Meghan joins the Saints after a year and a half at Anne Arundel Community College where she was a two sport athlete competing in soccer and lacrosse. Last year she was named AACC Female Athlete of the Year. A strong midfielder, Meghan will be expected to take on a significant role this spring using her speed and natural scoring ability.

11 Jody Kennedy

Sr - Attack
Ajax, Ont (Ajax)
Jody enters her final season tied for third in career scoring with 55 goals and 13 assists for 68 points. After making the move to attack in her freshman year, Jody has been consistently in the top five in scoring each season. This year the Saints will rely on her tremendous scoring ability to make a run at the tournament.

12 Michelle Lare

Fr - Midfield
Annapolis, MD (Broadneck)
Michelle comes to Limestone with a great deal of experience from her prep days. A member of the Chesapeake team at the National Tournament, she has played at the highest levels during her high school career. Her outstanding game sense will help her compete for a starting role in a deep midfield.

15 Jamie Bennett

Jr - Defense
Stevenville, MD (Queen Anne's)
A two-sport athlete at Limestone for the last three years, Jamie is one of the most gifted overall athletes at the college. Her quickness and agility help her to mark even the best opponents on the lacrosse field and the basketball court. This year Jamie will contend for a starting role in a position that graduated two seniors.

17 Kathy Martens

Sr - Defense
Glen Burnie, MD (Glen Burnie)
Kathy has been a mainstay at defense for the last two years after one season on the attack. Starting in all the games last year, Kathy will be one of the leaders on the defensive end of the field. Last season she helped the Saints record an 8.25 GAA as a team while scoring two goals and one assist.

18 Chrissy Kay

So - Goalie
Wantagh, NY (Wantagh)
In her second year as a varsity team member, Chrissy will make a serious push for playing time in 2001. Last year she led the team with a .653 save percentage and only allowed 32 goals through 438 minutes of play including an outstanding relief performance against Longwood College.

20 Stephanie Allen

So - Midfield
Columbus, OH
(Worthington - Kilbourne)
As a freshman, Stephanie knocked home six goals wile scooping up 23 ground balls in her midfield role. A pure athlete, she posses great stamina and excellent speed. Stephanie will be asked to increase her scoring output for 2001 as she solidifies a great midfield.

21 Bridget Dorsey

So - Defense
Herndon, VA (Herndon)
Last season Bridget ran in the midfield for the Saints, but this year she will be asked to make an adjustment by focusing solely on defense. A solid athlete, she will provide extra depth in a position that was hit hardest by graduation.

22 Angela Tomchik

Fr - Defense
Wilbraham, MA (Minnechaug)
A three-year starter for her high school team, Angela helped lead them to the state tournament each year finishing second her junior season. An aggressive player with great speed, Angela will make a great impact on the Saints in 2001.

24 Brandi Daigle

Fr - Goalie
Taneytown, MD
(Frances Scott Key)
A left-handed goalie that started for her high school program since they went varsity, Brandi joins the Saints for 2001. With quick hands and tremendous effort Brandi will look to challenge the upperclassmen in the net this year.

25 Stephanie Meyer

Sr - Defense
Hanover, MD (North County)
Last year Stephanie was asked to move to the defensive end of the field to provide some added speed out of the back and in doing so she earned herself First Team All-American honors. An extremely intelligent player, with outstanding speed and quickness, Stephanie will be a great leader for a solid defense in 2001.

26 Dawn Smith

Sr - Midfield
Baldwinsville, NY (Baldwinsville)
Dawn has been a solid fixture in the midfield for the Saints for the last three yeas earning All-American honors each season. Currently tied for third in career scoring with 68 points, Dawn will help provide the leadership the Saints will need for this season to be successful.

32 Katie Herzog

Jr - Goalie
Gaithersburg, MD (Gaithersburg)
Katie joined the Saints mid-year and was able to record the lowest goals against average on the team at 5.25 through 80 minutes of play. Although the Saints return all three goalies from last year, she has worked hard in the off-season to make a move up the depth chart.

44 Vicky Perkins

Sr - Goalie
Manlius, NY
(Christian Brothers Acad.)
In her final season as a Saint, Vicky will be expected to have her best year to date. The career leader in saves with 314 in three seasons, she will anchor a solid defense that was ranked fourth last year in Division II. Last year, Vicky recorded and even .600 save percentage starting all but one game for the Saints.
